YouTube vs TikTok boxing gets underway tonight with a series of fights showcasing both sets of social media stars. Express Sport has the full fight list for the ‘Battle of the Platforms’, as well as the undercard and schedule for the boxing event in Miami, Florida.
Social media stars are continuing to assert their influence over the sport of boxing.
The high-profile KSI vs Logan Paul fight in August 2018 drew huge numbers of viewers, owing to their large respective fanbases.
The subsequent rematch, in November 2019, was a full pay-per-view fight, promoted by Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing, and was broadcast on Sky Sports Box Office in the UK.
Now, the world of social media has gone one step further, and has launched a full-scale boxing event, featuring eight fights between YouTubers and TikTokers.
Saturday night’s event will include eight fights, culminating in Austin McBroom vs Bryce Hall.
Two of the fights will be free to stream to the public, but the remaining six will be part of a pay-per-view package.
The free fights will see YouTubers Ryan Johnston and Landon McBroom clash with TikTokers Cale Saurage and Ben Azelart, respectively.
Meanwhile, AnEsonGib will be clashing with Taylor Holder, while Nate Wyatt comes up against DDG.
